Aries 10" Big Blue Water Softening Filter Cartridge

The Aries AF Series softener cartridge uses ResinTech® CGS, a cation exchange softening grade resin for softening applications. ResinTech®CGS is a high capacity gel type sulfonated polystyrene cation resin. The media is supplied in the sodium form as moist, durable uniform spherical beads. It is intended for use in water softening applications, where free chlorine is not present. Its unique ability to exchange positively charged ions also enable it to remove dissolved iron.

  • For the removal of Calcium and magnesium, will also reduce or remove colloidal iron and manganese*
  • Dimensions: 4.5" x 10"
  • Capacity: 2,850 grains
  • Flow Rate: 0.75 at maximum effectiveness
  • Temperature: Minimum 40F to a maximum of 100F
  • Pressure: Minimum 20psi, maximum 125psi
  • Certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 and NSF/ANSI Standard 61 for material requirement(s) only.
  • Certified to NSF/ANSI Standard 372 for low lead compliance.

  • Fits all 10" BB or Big Blue filter housings for 10" x 4.5" filters

After installing flush a minimum of 10x the bed volume in water through the filter before using.
