Iron Reducing Bacteria Test

Testing for the presence of this bacteria is the first step in the treatment process.

Iron Reducing Bacteria causes aesthetic problems such as taste, odor, and staining of household fixtures and laundry.
IRB also causes physical issues with its ability to clog, piping, filters, and screens. In addition, this bacteria produces slime and adds a sulfur like smell to the water.

Basic Instructions

1.    Follow the detailed instruction sheet to the letter if you wish to get accurate results
2.    Use a felt pen to mark the bottle cap with your sampling date.  
3.    Fill the sample bottle to the fill line with hot or cold water form the source you wish to test.
4.    Record and observe for up to eight days
5.    Compare the tube with the result chart
