The Blaeberry is a beautiful area with many people calling this home. There are mostly acreages tucked away here with an abundance of water in some parts and low producing deep wells in others. The Blaeberry River is an abundant source for some residents, the stone flour and glacial till need to be removed from the water with a series of staggered filter cartridges which stagger the micron rating. The water source here is made up of five wells and five reservoirs with similar water content in varying quantities. In other words some have hard water and some have very hard water. The hardness in the wells ranges from 150 to 400mg/l making this spectacular hard water country. Other notables include high bicarbonates, boron, barium, aluminum sulphur, iron, lead, sodium and fluoride (naturally occurring) with added chlorine.

So, no question here on a good solution to Golden's water. Start with a properly sized water softener, next remove the chlorine from the water and lastly take your cooking and drinking water from a reverse osmosis purifier. Life is healthier and happier with better water.
